Luria Library Debuts New Website and Search

Luria Library Debuts New Website and Search
For the past ten years, the Luria Library website has been running WordPress as an independent site. With the arrival of the college’s redesigned website, we made the decision to join the team and bring the library content to the campus platform. This is a big change for us but we think it will serve students and employees better. We launched the new library website this month and we hope you like the change.
On the new website, you can search all library holdings (both online and paper), chat with a librarian, contact library staff, discover guides, reserve study rooms, and (coming soon) manage your library account. Be sure to browse the Research Guides for clear directions on being successful with your classes. You may also like to review the A-Z Databases page to see what’s popular online. For example, you can read the Los Angeles Times online through our library subscription.
Along with this website change, we also changed our library services platform. A library services platform is used to manage all the books in the library, any online resources we subscribe to, and all student and employee information. This is a herculean effort that takes months and months of planning and testing. What used to be called “Library Catalog” or “Books+” is now known as OneSearch.
Use OneSearch to find print and online books, articles, and other types of sources. Limit your results to the types of sources you want by choosing the appropriate items from the filtering options.
The best way to learn more about OneSearch is to watch this 4-minute video.
