
Animation and Gaming Program (MAT)
The Animation and Gaming program helps students develop both creative and technical skills through hands-on experience with industry-standard software and production workflows. Students build a strong foundation in 2D and 3D animation, game development, and interactive media for entertainment, educational games, and simulations.

Through our courses, students explore visual storytelling, dsign, and digital media while gaining practical skills in content creation, production, and distribution. The program combines artistic development with technical training, giving students the tools to bring their ideas to life.
Whether students plan to enter the workforce or continue their education, the program prepares them for entry-level careers in animation and game development, as well as transfer opportunities to four-year institutions in media, animation, game design, and related fields.

Our Program
Our courses give students a core background in visual arts and screen design, while providing technical skills in media development, production and distribution.
The program prepares students for employment in entry-level positions at Game development
and animation companies or for transfer to media programs at 4-year institutions.
There are 30 mandatory units (3 semesters) and a number of recommended courses to
concentrate on skills in Graphic Art, Modeling and 3D Animation, 2D Animation or Interactive
design.
Students may seek a Certificate or an Associate in Arts Degree in this discipline.

- Students will be able to create complex models, apply complex colors and textures to them according to a storyboard.
- Students will be able to create a digital lighting system and render Photorealistic images in 2D.
- Students will be able to create the necessary visual effects (environments and natural forces) specified for the story.
- Students will be able to set up a skeleton for a 3-D model and animate a character according to a storyboard.
- Students will be able to animate a character according to the dialog in the story.
