Cliff Drive Vision Zero Project Design Kick Off
Join the City of Santa Barbara to kick off the Cliff Drive Vision Zero Project’s design phase! Provide feedback via a webinar on November 15th and an in-person meeting on November 29th.
In 2018, the City adopted a Vision Zero strategy that aims to prevent severe and fatal injuries on City streets by focusing resources on high-priority streets with documented collision patterns. Cliff Drive is the second highest priority corridor in the City. The Project will add a new three-mile separated path for all ages and abilities on Cliff Drive from Arroyo Burro County Park to Castillo Street, and pedestrian safety enhancements at intersections throughout the Cliff Drive corridor. Improvements would improve routes to SBCC as well as to the elementary schools along or near Cliff Drive. Construction is anticipated to start in 2027.
