Board Policies and Administrative Procedures

What We Do

Reporting to the Superintendent/President, BPAP is the college-wide advisory committee and consultative body for Board policies and administrative procedures. BPAP is charged with identification of and recommendations for all Board policies and administrative procedures legally required by state and federal law and the Accreditation Commission.

Additionally, BPAP is responsible for the ongoing review, updating, and maintenance of this material to ensure that policies are legally current and in accordance with Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.

Committee members represent governance groups and communicate with them for input and to provide education regarding policies and procedures.

2020-21 Meeting Dates and Agendas

The Board Policies and Academic Procedures Committee meets on the first and third Friday of the month from 10:30 am to Noon in A 218C and via Zoom. The committee may decide on additional or alternative meeting dates/times as needed. For more information or to address the committee in public comment, please contact Rachel Walsh.

*Effective 1/1/2021, BPAP will meet at 11am - 12:30pm.

*February 2021 2 meeting will be held on Thursday, February 18 at 1:30pm - 3:00pm.

Members of the public have the opportunity to directly address the BPAP on any current meeting agenda item before the committee's consideration of that item.

Those wishing to address the committee at this meeting can do so by submitting an email to: rewalsh1@sbcc.edu by 9:00a.m. on Friday, prior to the BPAP meeting. (Pending SBCC handbook from CPC)

Unless otherwise determined by the committee, each person is limited to three minutes per topic. Total public comment time is limited to 15 minutes.
