The University Transfer Academy (UTA) aims to increase awareness of university transfer support services, build Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) partnerships, and prepare students to successfully transfer to public and private baccalaureate-granting institutions.
We ensure that students are prepared to transfer to the prestigious University of California System. UC Santa Barbara leads all UC campuses with the most SBCC transfer students, who make up about one-third of their transfer student population. Many of our students transfer to California State University Channel Islands, our closest CSU, and one of the 23 CSUs served by the UTA. The CSU is a leader in accessible, high quality, and student-focused education and is the largest, most diverse university system in the country. The UTA can assist students in earning Guaranteed Admission to one of our 65 partnering institutions.
Donor support makes it possible to enrich the experiences of students by providing them with:

- University Campus Trips
- Assistance with UC/CSU admission application fees
- Assistance with Common Application fees
