Certification Testing

Nurse Assistant Training and Assessment Program (NATAP) NATAP was developed by the Chancellor's Office, California Community Colleges (COCCC) to train and test individuals interested in becoming Certified Nurse Assistants. NATAP is committed to providing a program of the highest quality that focuses on meeting the needs of the individual candidate, instructor, or long term care facility. There are two parts to the NATAP Testing Program: a written test with 70 multiple-choice questions and a manual skills test of basic nurse assistant tasks. The NATAP test meets all federal and state requirements. Passing both parts of the NATAP test will allow a candidate to become eligible for certification as a nurse assistant.
