Prospective Student

The Santa Barbara City College Transfer Achievement Program (TAP) assists underrepresented students who are planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. We provide students with the necessary knowledge to ensure their successful transition from SBCC to a four-year institution.

Who does TAP serve?

  • Historically underrepresented student groups
  • First-generation college students
  • Students from low income families
  • Undocumented/AB 540 students

 How do I join TAP? (Click on the red links below)

 ATTENTION: We have reached max capacity of students and we are closed for admission at this time. Please try applying for TAP this summer starting on June 1, 2016.

Step 1: Set a transfer goal!
Step 2:
Learn about TAP by completing TAP's 1st Online Video Orientation
Step 3: Meet some of our TAP students (hoover over link)
Step 4: Fill out the Online Interest Application (hoover over link)
Step 5: You will be contacted by TAP staff, please allow 2-3 weeks. A TAP staff member will instruct you to schedule an appointment for a 2nd Orientation. For any questions call 805-965-0581 ext. 2544 or email tap@sbcc.edu.
