  • Six transferable semester units (equal to 9 UC quarter units)

While in Sydney:

  • Accommodation in self-catering student accommodation at Sydney University Village in Newtown. Each apartment contains 5 single rooms, 2 bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, dining and living area
  • My Multi1 unlimited travel pass for use on buses, ferries, trains and light rail in the central zone of Sydney for the duration of the Sydney Section
  • 24-hour ticket for a hop on, hop off public sightseeing tour of Sydney and the Bondi Beach area
  • Group welcome meal
  • Guided walking tour of The Rocks and a Sydney harbour boat trip
  • Visit with entrance to the Hyde Park Barracks
  • Excursion by private coach to the Tobruk Sheep Station. This will include Billy Tea and Damper (bread) on arrival, mustering, yard work and sheep shearing demonstrations, the opportunity to try whip cracking and boomerang throwing plus an Aussie BBQ lunch
  • Visit to the Tranby Aboriginal College
  • Daytrip by private coach to Muru Mittigar Aboriginal Cultural Center. Activities include a Bush tucker morning tea, boomerang throwing, a presentation of didgeridoo music and a Yarra walk focusing on traditional uses for native plants and a BBQ lunch

While in Cairns:

  • Accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis in multi-bedded rooms in a centrally located, tourist class hotel or hostel
  • Reef Education seminar to take place the evening before the Great Barrier Reef daytrip
  • Full-day cruise to the Great Barrier Reef, including a BBQ buffet lunch, several hours of snorkelling at two Great Barrier Reef locations, equipment hire and safety demonstrations
  • Full-day excursion to Kuranda Rainforest Village with transport by Rainforest SkyRail (one way) and the Kuranda Scenic Rail on the return to Cairns (option to hold a koala for a supplemental fee, meet kangaroos etc)
  • Traditional Australian farewell meal in Cairns
