PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Tina Kistler, the Program Director for SBCC's winter program to Australia, is Associate Professor and tenured faculty in SBCC's Communication Department. She holds a BA and MA from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has been teaching for over 25 years. She currently teaches intercultural communication and is looking forward to studying the impact of communication on the historical, social, and political relationships within Australia's vast borders. She is originally from the United Kingdom but has lived in California most of her life. She is married and has three children ages 13, 19, and 22 who all share a love for the ocean. This will be Professor Kistler's second time directing the program and is excited to return back to Australia  to lead SBCC's upcoming trip down under!
