PROGRAM DIRECTOR

David Starkey has been a full-time college English professor for the past 18 years. In addition to teaching creative writing at several different institutions, he is the author and editor of a number of books, including Teaching Writing Creatively, Creative Writing: Four Genres in Brief, and Ways of Being Dead: New and Selected Poems.  He studied abroad in Wales his senior year in college through the University of California’s Education Abroad Program.  He has also taught as a Fulbright Scholar in India and Finland, and has traveled on school-sponsored trips to Costa Rica and Korea.
