Coach Congleton begins her 10th season as the Vaqueros Head Coach. Last season the Vaqueros posted a 35 - 15 record while qualifying for their first Regional Championship. Along with SBCC's first All-American, five players achieved All-State honors, seven players made WSC ALL-Conference, and seven players received Academic accolades for having 3.0 GPA's or above in the 2007 Season. Coach Congleton, a four-year Scholar-Athlete, three time All-American, played in three College World Series during her stellar career at the University of New Mexico. Coach Congleton graduated with honors in both her Bachelor and Master's degree programs from the University of New Mexico and is currently working on a Ph.D. in Educational Administration with an emphasis in Leadership. The season outlook is promising, Congleton believes her team is on track in making another appearance in the Southern Cal. Regional Playoffs.

Assistant Coach Bill Hilliard

Bill Hilliard brings years of experience to the Vaqueros Softball Program. After coaching at Santa Barbara High School, Coach Hilliard came to City College and assists with fundamental skills development and the execution of offensive and defensive strategies. He specializes in working with the outfield and utilizes his knowledge of the game as the Vaquero's first base coach. Bill also serves as a surrogate dad for the girls while they compete as student-athletes.

Strength and Conditioning Coach Peter Aguilar

Peter Aguilar is a certified strength and conditioning specialist who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our program. Peter is in charge of all facets of physical training for the team. Peter currently has a rigorous schedule outlined for the team and is helping ensure our success on the field by providing the girls with the physical requirements needed to outplay our opponents. We look forward to great results.
