Teaching Experience
I have been a member of the AD Nursing Faculty since March 1992. I taught clinical for three years until January 1995 when I accepted a full-time teaching position with the ADN program. I have taught many courses throughout my tenure including: Infection Control, Care of the Elimination Patient, Fundamentals (Safe Care), Medication Administration, Pediatrics, and Gerontology. I currently teach Fluids and Electrolytes, and Gerontology.
Professional Experience
I am actively involved in the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and hold my Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification. I write exam questions for the Council of Graduate of Foreign Nursing Schools each summer in Philadelphia, PA. I worked as a staff nurse in both Critical Care and on the Medical/Surgical units. I continue to work as a staff nurse in critical care to maintain currency in the practice setting.
Personal Statement
I enjoy being a nurse and love to share my professional experiences with the nursing students. My hope is that they will enjoy nursing as much as I do.
