Mimi Muraoka MN RN, Professor of Nursing

I received my Masters degree from UCLA and my undergraduate nursing degree from CSU Long Beach. I also have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. I have taught at SBCC since 1989 and have taught many courses in the program. My specialty is Psychiatric Nursing. Previously I worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner, an office nurse at Sansum-Santa Barbara Medical Foundation Clinic, a staff nurse on a variety of units at Cottage Hospital, and worked with patients with neurological injuries at the Rehabilitation Institute in Santa Barbara.
