Teaching Experience
I have been a faculty member with the ADN Program since 2001. I teach several of the medical-surgical courses and specialize in women's health care.
Professional Experience
My experience as a clinical nurse includes: medical/surgical care, post anesthesia care, and public health. In addition to my teaching position at SBCC, I am employed as a public health consultant for the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department. I am a contributing editor to the nursing textbook, Comprehensive Neonatal Nursing. I am on the Advisory Committee for the Health Academy at one of our local high schools. I sit on the committee for the Breast Cancer Alliance.
Personal Statement
I am proud to be a member of the nursing profession and I strive to instill this in my nursing students. My personal passions are the future of the nursing profession and issues relating to womens health care. My goal is to inspire students to make a difference in this world.
