Review and Update of Nursing Skills – NURS 194

Are you a RN or LVN who has been away from acute care nursing? Do you feel that you would profit from review and updating and an opportunity for "hands-on" skills practice? If so, the Review and Update of Nursing Skills/Nurse Refresher Course may be the answer for you.

This course provides the opportunity for an individual appointment with the Allied Health and Nursing Laboratory (AHNL) coordinator to develop a plan with you, based on your self-assessed learning needs. It is a 0.5 unit (27 hour) independent study course which allows you to use the computer assisted instruction programs, videotapes, computerized simulators, nursing supplies and equipment. You are welcome to use the AHNL anytime it is open.

To get started, attend an Information Meeting. It is recommended that the nurse start at the beginning of a semester to ensure that they have the opportunity to complete all the required hours before the semester ends.
