SBCC Scheinfeld Center Presents A Conversation with Entrepreneur Jack Nadel
Santa Barbara City College’s Scheinfeld Center Enlightened Entrepreneurship Series will host decorated World War II veteran entrepreneur and award-winning business author Jack Nadel, founder of Jack Nadel International, on Friday, November 8, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Fé Bland Forum on SBCC’s West Campus. This event is open to the public and free of charge. However, space is limited and RSVPs are required. To register for the event, please go to: http://scheinfeld.sbcc.edu/events_lectures.html
Another installment in the Scheinfeld Center's popular Enlightened Entrepreneurship Series, this program will interactively explore with Jack Nadel his extraordinary story of being a lifelong serial entrepreneur, including insights from nearly seven decades of successful experience and his desire to share what he has learned with others through appearances and writing.
Mr. Nadel will also receive the inaugural Entrepreneurial Lifetime Notable Achievement Award, also known as the “ELNA” award, celebrating his tenure as a global entrepreneur and passion for fostering entrepreneurship in others. The award recognizes Elna Scheinfeld and her late husband, James D. Scheinfeld, whose vision to encourage and support the development of new businesses, promote entrepreneurship, and assist existing businesses in Santa Barbara was born from his genuine regard and commitment of equal access to educational opportunities for all individuals.
The event will be presented by Scheinfeld Center Director Melissa Moreno and moderated by SBCC Business Professor Bonnie Chavez. The audience will have an opportunity to personally interact and network during a reception following the presentation. All attendees will be gifted with a copy of Jack Nadel’s award-winning new book, The Evolution of an Entrepreneur, sponsored by Union Bank.
“The Enlightened Entrepreneurship Series gives students and our local small business community unprecedented access to highly successful and unique entrepreneurs and innovators and inculcates inspiration and motivation not only for budding entrepreneurs but also for existing business owners,” said Ms. Moreno. “Jack Nadel’s global experience, insights and ethical philosophy as a business leader are an excellent resource for all entrepreneurs, and his desire to pass it forward to help others create a model for success is extremely uplifting and valuable for those aspiring to succeed as he did.”
This event is hosted by the Scheinfeld Center in partnership with the Santa Barbara County Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and the Center for International Trade Development (CITD). The SBDC and CITD are hosted by SBCC’s Scheinfeld Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. For more information please visit: http://scheinfeld.sbcc.edu
