This fee increase applies to all students who are enrolled for Fall 2009, regardless of the date in which the fees to register for classes were paid.
For those students who are already enrolled for Fall 2009, the additional fee (difference between the $20/unit already paid and the new $26/unit fee) is now due and payable. We want to be as helpful as possible with this imposed fee change. We are accepting payments now but require that your Fall 2009 enrollment fees be paid by Friday, October 23.If you do not do so, a hold will be placed on your record(s) and you will be prevented from adding/dropping any classes starting October 26. You will not be able to conduct college transactions (order transcripts, enroll for Spring, etc.) until you settle your account.
For Board of Governors Fee Waiver Students 2009-2010, you do not need to do anything. If you have already been approved for a fee waiver, your fee waiver will automatically be increased to cover the change in enrollment fees.

The State of California reserves the right to change fees at any time.
Will my BOGW/Financial Aid cover the difference?
If you have been approved for a BOGW, your BOGW has been increased to handle the fee change. If you are unsure, check your pipeline account and it will show you if you owe money to the college.
When do I have to pay it by?
You should pay your balance immediately. If your fees are not paid by October 23, 2009, you will be unable to conduct college transactions (order transcripts, register for Spring, etc.) until you pay your balance.

Why did SBCC raise their fee?
The State of California determines our fees.We are required by law to charge the new fee. Currently the State is facing severe budget problems.Community college fees were increased to help in this area. While the fees have been increased $6/unit, SBCC is still a great choice and a good value.
