TURKEY DINNERS. Every year, EOPS/CARE provides a full Thanksgiving Dinner to every low income, single-parent family enrolled in the EOPS/CARE and CalWORKs programs. The dinner
includes all the traditional foods -- a turkey, potatoes, carrots, rolls, butter, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. This event is very special to our families and it would not be possible without the campus community's help. A $30 tax-deductible donation provides a deserving student a complete dinner to prepare and enjoy with his or her family. Please open your heart this holiday season to those less fortunate. Send your donation through interoffice mail to the Foundation for SBCC (make check payable to Foundation for SBCC/CARE) or mail it to Foundation for SBCC, Attn: Gretchen Hewlett,721 Cliff Drive,Santa Barbara,CA93109.  Thank you for caring,

After a record-breaking women's soccer season, SBCC forward Jessica Domenichelli was selected MVP of the WSC North on November 14 in a vote of conference coaches. The sophomore from El Dorado Hills broke her own school record with 27 goals, the second-highest total in the state. She led the WSC in scoring with 64 points and was named the California Community College Sports Information Association and California Community College Athletic Association Athlete of the Month for October. Nine other Vaqueros made all-conference. Katie Voss, the No. 7 scorer in California with 16 goals and a school-record 16 assists, was a first-team choice, along with midfielder Jenna Rubin and defenders Morgan Crumpley and Sara Tomas. Second-team choices included Ali Raack, Nicole Payne, Jo Lawlor and goalie Cheyenne Rodriguez. The Vaqueros had the No. 4 offense (70 goals) and No. 5 defense (10 goals) in Southern California. Goalkeeper Hannah Zech was an honorable mention selection. The Vaqueros will host a first-round South Regional playoff match on November 19.

SBCC sophomore Roberto Santana achieved a rare feat on November 14 when he was voted MVP of the Western State Conference by the men's soccer coaches.
