SBCC Atkinson GalleryAt the Santa Barbara City College Atkinson Gallery, the art exhibit DENSITY will be on display from Mon., Jan. 25 thorough Fri., Feb. 19. The exhibit features the works of seven artists from the New York, Chicago, and Southern California areas. The art is labor intensive, non-computer based, dense with visual information and considerable handwork A mix of media and scale are included ranging from large on-site wall installations to small prints to a 22 foot-long rug woven with shirt labels. The artworks come from private collections as well as artists' studios. The featured artists are: Ann Diener (Santa Barbara), Linda Ekstrom (Santa Barbara), Tony Fitzpatrick (Chicago). Steve Galloway (Los Angeles), Christine Morla (Ventura), Arthur Sordillo (New York), and Thomas Weaver (New York). The SBCC Atkinson Gallery is located in the Humanities Building on East Campus at 721 Cliff Drive in Santa Barbara.
