SBCC Seeks Community Volunteers in Search for New Superintendent/President
The SBCC District Board of Trustees is seeking two community members to serve on a 16-member Screening Committee for the hiring of its new College Superintendent/President.
The volunteers for these positions will represent the community at large and should have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of higher education. The SBCC District Board of Trustees will appoint the two community members at their Board meeting in February. The Screening Committee will be responsible for reviewing applications and interviewing potential candidates for the Superintendent/President position and will recommend finalists to the SBCC District Board of Trustees for its review and final candidate selection.
The Screening Committee will meet beginning in mid-February through April. The expected time commitment is approximately 60 hours and committee members will be required to attend all meetings.
Members of the community interested in participating on this SBCC Screening Committee should send a statement of their qualifications, not to exceed 150 words, to Patricia English, SBCC Vice President of Human Resources, at email@example.com no later than 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016.
