SBCC has beginning and intermediate vocal technique classes designed to introduce students to solo vocal performance. The courses are taught by Professors Nathan Kreitzer and Andrianna Kolendrianos. The college also offers applied vocal lessons to music majors by audition. Several sections of the beginning course are offered during the semester. The department occasionally hosts vocal workshops and solo artists during the year.
