Margaret Hontos

Margaret Hontos teaches Beginning Theory and Fundamentals of Music at SBCC. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from California State University, Los Angeles and her Master of Arts in Music Composition from UCLA. She has studied composition with Ian Krouse, Paul Reale and Manuel Enriquez. Margaret's commissioned works include a Variation for the UCLA Wind Ensemble and incidental music for the Hollywood production of Sutton Vane's Outward Bound. She regularly sings with the worship group at Agoura Bible Fellowship and is an active member of the International League of Women Composers.
