SBCC Student Salvage Project: November 2004

SBCC worked with the City of Santa Barbara Waterfront Department to raise a sunken sailboat from a depth of 46' offshore the East Beach Anchorage. The boat was deemed a hazard to navigation by the City. The students developed and executed a salvage plan to raise the vessel and dispose of it.
