Divers help solve oxygen depletion mystery for the City of
Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol
boat run by SBCC alumnus Officer Jeff Browning, of the Santa
Barbara Harbor Patrol. This was the support vessel for the
diving operation. City College divers disovered rotting kelp
from recent storms contributing to a massive oxygen depletion
event. The low oxygen levels resulted in massive fish deaths
in the harbor over a two day period.
