REQUIRED FEES
Since it is a publicly funded California Community College,
commercial diving/marine technician training at SBCC is significantly
more affordable than other programs, especially if you are a resident
of California.
ESTIMATED COSTS
A career in diving is equipment intensive. In order to ensure your
success, it is very important that students who desire to become
a professional diver/technician plan financially prior to attending
the MDT modules. You may consult the college
catalog for additional cost inquiries and financial
aid information.
TUITION
These costs are estimates inclusive of all program units, tuition,
lab fees, parking fees, health fees, registration, activity
fees and physical exam.

resident, non-resident and international student tuition.
These
fees are approximate. They are subject to change with state
revisions, curriculum
and technology updates and/or revisions.
DIVING PHYSICAL EXAM
As an option, students who apply to the MDT program from out of
the local area can see a qualified Medical Doctor
in your area that is familiar with the requirements
of industrial diving and/or
experienced in occupational or hyperbaric medicine. All tests
must be performed
using SBCC's DIVING PHYSICIAN'S EXAMINATION
REPORT & FORM.
