F. TIME MANAGEMENT
1. Students will be more successful if they are able to plan ahead in completing assignments, such as writing a paper
ACTIVITY: Paper Planning Tools - Students are given incremental due dates for micro steps in the paper writing process. These steps include exploring topics to write about, determining research sources, outlines, and rough drafts. The shorter deadlines for the individual steps assists the student in managing their time properly.
2. Students will manage their time better if they know exactly when work is due.
ACTIVITY: Calendar of Due Dates - Revisit, discuss and clarify the calendar every class.
3. Students will better be able to manage their study time if they are given a list of things to do with their time.
ACTIVITY: Study Checklist - Prior to a midterm or final exam, teacher provides students with a list including exactly what to read, which questions to review, what will and won't be on the test, what needs to be memorized, etc.
