Purpose Statement
I do not know what
higher order thinking is on the community college level or any where else. Is
that a nuclear war head? Tobacco executives lying before Congress? The
exploitation of the rain forests? About 400 years of subjugation thought?
I believe the task at hand is thining itself and its development in the class
room.
Description of Activity
I cover thinking under:
1. Note Taking/Study Skills
2. Time Management
Application
I work daily to create a classroom environment in which subjugation is constantly set against sustainability. The attempt is to look at both sides of the mountain. For example, what are the ways we might look at land? By drawing a new perspective from the students it then is applied in examination questions tht pose critical analysis. That would be higher order to me.
