| Nina Mahaffey assumed her full-time position as Supervisor of the CLRC in the summer of 2004. In this capacity, she is responsible for supervising and promoting the various learning support service areas within the CLRC; interfacing with related campus-wide student support staff and services, faculty, and academic departments; working with the CLRC Director to plan and develop learning support services and practices which foster student success; maintaining the facility; and providing professional development for the CLRC staff and the many student and hourly workers who keep the CLRC running smoothly.
After earning a B.A. degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1977, she attended SBCC and earned an A.S. degree in nursing, followed by RN licensure in 1980. She completed an M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in 1991 and became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in 1997. Nina believes that quality education, both academic and non-formal, is the key to personal success, satisfaction, and freedom. |
