Residence Hall Opportunities

Residence Halls typically provides students with shared housing that includes a meal plan, regularly scheduled custodial service and organized activities.  Resident hall management may adopt standards of conduct for those to whom they rent that go beyond typical rental agreements.  SBCC does not develop or administer these standards.  Currently there  are three off-campus, independent, privately owned student residence hall living opportunities. One in the Isla Vista area next to the UCSB campus with direct bus service to the SBCC Campus that provides suite style living to SBCC students called Tropicana Gardens Residence Hall (500 beds) and two closer to SBCC called Orchid House (24 beds) and The Landing (12 beds).  Below are the links to their websites and contact information.  Tropicana Gardens Residence Hall are encourages it's residents to participate in the SBCC Transfer Academy, which assists students with focused academic planning and achievement and timely transfer to participation UCs and CSUs and to take advantage of Cross Enrollment opportunities at  UCSB.
