Residence Hall Opportunities
A residence hall typically provides students with shared housing that includes a meal plan, regularly scheduled custodial service and organized activities. Resident hall management may adopt standards of conduct for those to whom they rent that go beyond typical rental agreements. SBCC does not develop or administer these standards. Currently there are two off-campus, independent, privately owned residence halls in the Isla Vista area near the UCSB campus that provide beds to SBCC students. Students who are interested in securing a bed in one of the two facilities are encouraged to participate in the SBCC Transfer Academy, which assists students with focused academic planning and achievement and timely transfer to UCSB. Contact the residence halls regarding specific criteria for acceptance.
