Getting registered and prepared for our classes in an easy, four-step process.
1. |
Apply to SBCC |
| |
This is the first step to getting started in the HIT/CIM Program. To fill out an application online, please go to: http://www.sbcc.edu/apply
|
| |
NOTE: Please be sure that you are applying for the correct semester. For example, the application for the Spring semester is not posted until early October. The application for the Summer and Fall semesters is not posted until early March. If you fill out the application for the semester that is currently in session instead of the next future semester, then you will not receive priority registration for the next semester.
In addition, keep in mind that if you sit out a Fall or Spring semester, you must re-apply for the next future semester in order to get a priority registration date.

| |
Within one working day, you will be able to log into the student registration system at http://pipeline.sbcc.edu.
Go to 'Registration', then to 'Check Your Registration Status' to view your student ID number (starts with K00 and is listed on the righthand side of the screen). This screen will also show you whether you have holds on your registration (see below) as well as the earliest date and time that you will be able to register.
|
| |
Depending on the information on your application, you may be subject to holds on your registration: |
| |
-
If you entered on your application that you are a first-time college student pursuing a degree or transfer, you will be subject to assessment/orientation/advising holds. There are three steps that you need to do to clear the holds.
- Contact Gwyer Schuyler, Academic Counselor, schuyler@sbcc.edu, to request a clearance of assessment and advising holds. Please reference your student ID number (K00...) in your email.
- Complete the online orientation at http:// www.sbcc.edu/orientation
|
| |
- If you entered on your application that you have attended other colleges, you will not be subject to assessment/ orientation/ advising holds on registration.
|
| |
-
If you entered on your application that you are a first-time college student pursuing a certificate and no transfer, you will not be subject to assessment/orientation/advising holds on registration.
