What “words of wisdom” do you have for other faculty? Support each other, mentor each other, create a supportive environment for the faculty and you’ll have a supportive environment for the students.

What careers or jobs did you have before working at SBCC? Waitress, nurse, mom and teacher.

Who was your most influential teacher and why? Jacque Huth, she shared her experience and spent time with me.  She had faith in my abilities.  She guided, directed and supported me.

What are your hobbies/interests? Making bracelets, gardening, and dream tending class.

What are you reading now? Dreams are Letters from the Soul and Eating Right for Your Type.

What do you love about your job? The students and the growth and changes I see in them.  The joy I get when they learn something and then graduate and surpass me with a lifelong love of learning and nursing.

What has been your greatest accomplishment and/or challenge? I feel most proud to have graduated from the SBCC ADN program.  Working in the community and then coming back to work with some of my teachers in the same program.
