I grew up in Santa Barbara and have a great love for the city, its beauty and its people.
My careers have included jobs in elementary education (with developmentally disabled children), teacher/administrator of Alpha Resource Center and Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, graphic arts, advertising, and teaching at the Braille Institute. Those daytime careers were augmented for more than 20 years by teaching nights in our ESL program. Today, working as a full time teacher in the program I am thrilled to have a multi-level class every day at Wake Center.
I am an avid reader and tennis player. My volunteering includes the YMCA, Lobero Theater, Luria Library, and State Street Ballet. Memberships include the Mental Health Association and Sister Cities organizations.
