Angela Locke

MFA Creative Writing, Antioch Los Angeles, 2012; TESOL Certificate, UCSB, 2000; Adult Education Designated Subjects ESL/Humanities Lifetime Credential, CSULA 1990; BA English, CSULA 1986.

Angela Locke, a novelist and short story writer who recently earned her MFA in Creative Writing at Antioch Los Angeles, has been a teacher, writer and editor in the adult ESL field for nearly thirty years.  She loves teaching all levels of students and all skills, though teaching writing, especially to those students who don't think they can write, is especially exciting to her.  She thinks the best part of teaching adult ESL is watching students expand their definition of themselves and become confident and vocal participants in their new culture.
