Educational Background:

I began my academic career as a re-entry student in the community college system when my two sons entered preschool. For more than ten years I took classes purely for enrichment (I loved the classroom environment).   I eventually discovered Communication Studies and from that point on, with the encouragement of a wise and demanding professor, I transferred to university so that I could complete my degree. I attended California State University, Northridge where I focused on interpersonal and small group communication.   I received both my BA and MA degrees from CSUN.

In 1991, I began my career at SBCC, where for ten years I served as an adjunct instructor.   In 2001, I joined the full-time faculty at SBCC.
