Communication 141:
 Small Group and Team Communication

Course Description

Communication 141 is a course designed to familiarize students with the principles and practices of small group and team communication theory and research in a variety of group settings.

Course readings, assignments, labs, and online research projects are designed to enhance your overall competency in small group and team communication.   Students will also participate in a final service-learning project involving local community nonprofit organizations.

Purpose

This course is designed to help students increase their small group communication effectiveness in the following areas:

  1. Interpersonal group/team skills
  2. Problem-solving techniques in groups and teams
  3. Strategies for conflict management in groups and teams
