General Work Experience is administered out of the Career Center. The General Work Experience 290 courses are supervised employment intended to assist students in acquiring desirable work habits, attitudes and career awareness. The employment need not be related to a student's educational goal.

Students can sign up for 1-3 units per semester, up to a total of six semester credit units.
There are no regular class meetings for General Work Experience 290, however students must attend two mandatory meetings during the semester (an Orientation Meeting and a Mid-Term Meeting). Students have the option of attending the Orientation Meeting as well as the Mid-term Meeting in person or viewing it via video.
