Welcome to the EOPS/CARE PROGRAM at Santa Barbara City College. EOPS (Extended Opportunity Programs and Services) is a state-funded, comprehensive support system for qualified low-income students who are enrolled fulltime (12 or more units). The goal of the program is to help eligible students meet their educational objectives, whether they seek occupational certificates, associate degrees, or transfer to four-year institutions.
The CARE PROGRAM (Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education) at Santa Barbara City College provides opportunitites for low income single parents to obtain the skills and education necessary to move from poverty to self sufficency.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for financial aid in the form of EOPS GRANTS (combined with other types of state and federal aid), you must: be a California resident; be enrolled as a full-time student (12 units or more per term); have fewer than 70 units of degree applicable college credits; qualify to receive a Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGW); and be educationally disadvantaged.
