Santa Barbara City College is a member of the Santa Barbara Consortium of the
California Student Opportunity and Access Program (Cal-SOAP). Cal-SOAP is a
statewide program designed to increase the number of students attending college.
The program serves elementary, middle, high school and community college students
who are:
- from low-income families
- will be the first in their family to attend college
- are from areas or schools with low eligibility or college participation
rates.
The Santa Barbara Cal-SOAP serves schools in the Santa Barbara, Goleta, and
Carpinteria areas.
