Who can use the BC LABS?
The Business Division Computer LABS are used by the ACCT, CIS, and COMP Departments. Accounts are created at the beginning of the semester for students that are registered in these Departments. Late registering student may have to have their instructor request an account for them or provide proof of registration to the LTA. Other Business Division Departments may obtain access privileges for their students when the instructor e-mails the student's full name to the ICLC. The student will have to provide their Social Security Number to the ICLC when they come in to activate their account. Do NOT e-mail this information.

Students enrolled in late start classes will not have access until the first day off class. Students enrolled in short classes will not have access after their class has ended. Students who drop all Business Division classes will have their access revoked.

What resources are available?
The BC LABS have 150 computers approximately 30 in each of our 5 LABs running Windows XP Professional for instructional use. These computers are used primarily for classroom instruction. The open lab, usually, BC315, is available for drop in use during most of our hours of operation. All of our computers have 3 1/2" floppy disk drives, CD-ROM drives, and USB ports that may be used for transferring files to or from an USB flash drive.  Use of other USB devices is violation of our LAB Rules. Personal computers/laptops may not be plugged into our network at any time. A 4 MB network storage location is provided to all students with USER IDs.

Printing
Students are permitted to print one draft and one final copy of assignments for the Business Division. Assignments for other classes and personal items may be printed in the LRC & Library for a fee. The BC LABS are currently using recycled paper to print on (one side has been previously used). All instructors for the Business Division have agreed that it is acceptable for assignments to be turned in on this type of paper, provided that the student puts a line through the previously used side. Printing from the Internet is not allowed.
