The Atkinson Annex is proud to announce the first installment of a series of shows curated by the Atkinson Gallery Intern, Madeleine Tonzi. The exhibition will feature the work of two exceptional SBCC advanced painting students, Heather Mattoon and Bob Mask. Both artists have participated in other collaborative shows, including the 2006 Student Show, Bob Mask, and Fresh Meat, (part of this years Off Axis contemporary art celebration) Heather Mattoon. Each artist carries a distinct and intriguing style of abstract figurative and nature studies.
This marks the beginning of a new curatorial project that will be assigned to the Atkinson Gallery interns each semester. We hope for this project to continue as a learning tool for the gallery interns, as well as the campus community. It demonstrates a fine example of student work as well as the knowledge that has been passed on from the Gallery Director, Dane Goodman, to the intern.
