How to find us

The Art Department is located on City College's East Campus in the Humanities Building (H Building). The East Campus entrance is at 721 Cliff Drive, between Castillo Street and Loma Alta Drive, opposite of Mc Kinley Elementary School.

There is very limited visitor parking, and permits have to be obtained at the kiosk by the entrance. Additional student parking is available at the lower parking lot by the beach, but permits are needed for this lot as well. The kiosk will advise visitors where to best try parking their cars.

It is best to use different means of transportation whenever possible. MTD buses stop right at the East Campus entrance and commute regularly. Bicycles can be parked safely right in front of the H-building.

The Art Department faculty and administrative offices, the Atkinson Gallery and classrooms used for drawing, design, painting and art history are located on the second floor of the H Building; the printmaking, ceramics and sculpture studios as well as one art history lecture hall are on the ground floor.

You find the H Building adjacent to the cafeteria (just follow the mural wall towards our main entrance).
