NEW for SPRING 2019 - Math & English assessment tests will no longer be required for a majority of students.
SBCC uses multiple measures, including high school grade point average, coursework, and specific grades for placement into Math & English courses that are not English as a Second Language courses.
This data was collected when you applied to the college. If we do not have your high school information, you may be required to fill out a supplemental form or take the assessment tests.
To look up your Math & English placement status:
- Log onto your Pipeline account
- Under the STUDENT tab, click on STUDENT RECORDS
- Click on VIEW COURSE PLACEMENT AND ELIGIBILITY
- If your placements are listed as pending, please click on the HIGH SCHOOL DATA FORM to submit the information required for placement
Continuing Students: Before registering for Spring 2019, double check your placements in Pipeline - they
may have changed.

For Spring 2019, you have the option to take the Math and English assessment tests as an alternative to your multiple measures placement. Testing may also be required if your high school data is unavailable.
