2019-2020 Request for Proposals to be Released

The Santa Barbara AEBG Consortium allocation for grant cycle year 4 for the 2018-2019 calendar year is $804,710.00. The primary goals and program areas deemed eligible to receive funding were approved at the August 1, 2018 Consortium Public Meeting.  

The Consortium welcomes the public, pupils, teachers employed by local educational agencies, Community College faculty, principals, administrators, classified staff, and the local bargaining units of the school districts and community colleges to submit an AEBG Request for Proposal to secure program funding for the 2018 - 2019 calendar year.

To ensure all prospective bidders and the Public receive adequate guidance and their questions are answered for the Request for Proposal, the AEBG Consortium Chair and AEBG Coordinator will be hosting a Bidders’ Conference information meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 1:30-3:00pm in SBCC Wake Campus, Room 18.

Consortium awards approved Requests for Proposals at AEBG Public Meeting


(1) Ensure that you have read and understand both the 
2018-2019 AEBG 1-Year Plan and AEBG Three-Year Plan

(2) Complete one or more of the following Request for Proposals: 
     (a) Special Short-Term Santa Barbara AEBG Consortium
          Request for Proposal for Noncredit Adult Education Funds
     (b) 2018-2019 Santa Barbara AEBG Consortium
          Request for Proposal for Noncredit Adult Education Funds

(3) Complete the 2018-2019 Activity Chart and email it to You are expected to make your best efforts to expend funds by the deadline stated. Your timeline of activities should reflect expenditures by the deadline. 

All items are due NO LATER THAN MIDNIGHT, OCTOBER 10, 2018.

Once you submit your application, it will be reviewed by the Santa Barbara AEBG Consortium. You may be asked for clarification during the review period between October 11, 2018 and October 28, 2018.

Approval of applications will be announced at the Consortium Public Meeting on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
